No, the term does not refer to the moons colour but to the rare occurrence of a second Full Moon appearing in a month.

  • Blue moon has few other names such as the Green Corn Moon , the Grain Moon ,Full Red Moon etc..
  • A full moon appears every 29.5 days .So, there are usually 12 moons in a year.
  • But some years have 13, with one month having 2 Full Moon nights.
  • July 2015 has two full moons. One on 2nd and 31st .
  • The last blue moon was on Aug 2012
  • And the next will happen in January 2018.

  • Dogs do speak the same language as us - we both respond to emotional sounds in very similar ways. 
  • They detect a seizure before it actually happens
  • And while dogs aren't as colour blind.They can only perceive black, white, blue, and yellow, which means there's colour in a dog's life, just not a lot of it.
  • Dogs have the capacity to learn up to 150 words, count to five, and can even understand simple arithmetic. 
  • Dogs are about as intelligent as a two-year-old human.
  • BEST:Men are three times more likely to get a girl's phone number when they have a dog by their side.
  • German Shepherd
     are reported to be the smartest breed of Dogs.

  1. His full name Is Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen  Abdul Kalam
  2. He was born into a poor Muslim family, to Jainulabdeen and Ashiamma on October 15, 1931.
  3. Even though he came from a poor family Background, he never gave up on his education
  4. Kalam did his graduation from Madras Institute of Technology(MIT).He studied Aeronautical Engineering
  5. He worked as a chief scientist at DRDO and was soon transferred to ISRO.

    Astronomers claim that they have discovered the most Earth-like Planet yet. They say that this has been the closest match to our Earth. Life could exist on that planet because it is neither too hot nor too cold to support liquid form of water. NASA told that “Astronomers are on the cusp of” finding “Another Earth”.

    • The name of the Planet is Kepler 452b,a rocky planet orbiting a star at the same distance the Earth orbits the Sun(=150 Million Kilometers)
    • It takes 385 Earth days to complete a Year.
    • The Kepler-452b is 60% larger in diameter(=20,000 Kilometers in diameter)

    • The Planet Kepler 452b is 1400 Light-Years away from our solar system.
    • The Planet was discovered by Kepler Space Telescope, which has been hunting for other worlds similar to Earth’s since 2009
